Whoo hooo... fresh snow everywhere for the weekend. New snow in this report is as of Saturday morning, storm totals are since Wednesday night. Here are some highlights for this weekend: Santa Fe opens the terrain park for the first time this season... Taos has Helly Hansen Big Mountain Battle... Pajarito has a new punch card... Angle Fire has TTN No Drama Day on Saturday... Red River gets ready for Marti Gras in the Mountains... Sipapu has a snow bike event this weekend... Durango Mountain has Snowdown events this weekend and save money on tickets at Costco... Wolf Creek has Locals Day on Sunday.

Sandia Peak:
2 New. 4 Storm. 4 Inches New This Week. 41 Inch Base. 34/35 trails open. 4/5 lifts. P/PP/MG surface. 12 runs groomed. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Join the next Saturday multi-day Challenge program. It starts Saturday, February 4 for 3 consecutive Saturdays and is open to all ages and all levels of ability. There is a special "race program" for kids. Call 242-9052 and ask for SnowSports school ticket office to sign up.

Santa Fe: 10 New. 15 Storm. 15 New This Week. 47 Inch Base. 76/77 runs open. 6/7 lifts (Sierra chair closed on weekdays). P/PP/MG surface. 31 runs groomed. The Boneyard Terrain park is open now for the first time this season.

Taos Ski Valley: 1 New. 10 Storm. 10 New This Week. 56 Inch Base. 111/111 Runs Open. 13/13 Lifts. All green and blue runs are open and 43 chutes are open as well as Maxie's Terrain Park. 24 runs groomed. P/PP/MG surface. The Helly Hansen Big Mountain Battle is this Saturday. $90 per team of two, which includes two pieces of Helly Hansen Base layer (worth $45 each).

Angel Fire: 4 New. 9 Storm. 9 New This Week. 44 Inch Average Base. 63/77 runs open. 6/7 Lifts (chair 3 runs on weekends and peak times only). P/PP/MG surface. 31 runs groomed. Nightrider Terrain Park and Liberation Park are open. Night skiing Thursday through Saturday nights on the lower front side. This Saturday is Twin Tip Nation No Drama Day where you can ride with Team TTN.

Pajarito: 4 New. 7 Storm. 7 New This Week. 44 Inch base. 33/44 runs open. 4/6 lifts (Chairs #2,#3,#4 and the Mitey Mite are running this season. The Spruce and Townsight chairs are not running due to fire damage). A third of the open runs groomed every few days. Open Friday through Sunday. Let your friends and family know about a new card: the Five to Fly card. This is a transferable unrestricted five punch card that allows you to share your love of skiing with others. FIVE DAYS of skiing for $200. The card can be purchased online or at the business office at the ski hill.

Red River: 10 New. 16 Storm. 16 New This Week. 40 Inch Average Base. 54/57 runs open. 6/7 chairs running (Copper chair closed for repairs). 21 runs groomed. Hollywood and Pot O Gold terrain parks open. Get a free day of skiing and a free night of lodging during Mardi Gras in the Mountains in Red River. Parades, crawfish boils, costume balls, and beads, just three hours north of Albuquerque. Mardi Gras in the Mountains, February 16-21 in Red River.

Sipapu: 3 New. 6 Storm. 6 New This Week. 29-37 Inch Base. 37/41 runs open. 5/5 lifts (on weekdays Lift #3 and Lift #4 rotate operation).  This weekend is Sipapu's SkiBike Festival, which includes a moonlight skibike ride, races, apres ski events, demos, a skibike giveaway and more.



Enchanted Forest XC: NR New. 6 New This Week. 36 Inch Base. 100% of the tracks open. Open daily.

Valles Caldera National Preserve: NR New. 0 New This Week. 10-15 Inch Base. 9/9 trails open. Open Fridays through Sundays. For more information about the winter recreation program, call 866-382-5537.

Ski Apache: T New. T Storm. 3 New This Week. 32 Inch Base. 54/55 trails open. 10/11 chairs running.

Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory): 4 New. 12 Storm. 12 New This Week. 52 Inch Base. 87/88 runs open. 9/10 chairs running (lifts 2, 5 and 6 don't run on normal weekdays). P/PP/MG surface. 37 runs groomed. You can save money by purchasing your lift tickets at Costco in Albuquerque. The annual celebration of winter, Snowdown, brings together the entire Durango community. There are more than 60 different events including an evening parade Friday night, Ski Softball Tournament, Snowdown Balloon Rally and more. Events are in town Wednesday through Sunday with on-mountain events this weekend. Details at snowdown.org.

Wolf Creek: 0 New. 11 Storm. 11 New This Week. 74 Inch Mid-Mountain Base. 7/7 chairs running. 77/77 trails open. P/PP/MG surface. Waterfall area, Knife Ridge, Horseshoe Bowl all now open. On Saturday, February 4th, there will be a Ladies’ Ski and Board Clinic. Ladies can purchase a lift ticket and 2-hour morning lesson of any ability for $63. Sunday, February 5th, is the Super Bowl Race. It’s free and open to skiers and boarders of all ages and abilities. Also on Sunday, February 5th, there will be a Telemark Clinic where telemarkers can purchase a lift ticket and 2-hour morning lesson of any ability for only $63. Sunday, February 5th, is also Local Appreciation Day where lift tickets are $33 for adults and $19 for seniors and children. No ID required.

Silverton Mountain: 0 New. 3 Storm. 3 New This Week. 73 Inch Base. Open now for guided-only skiing Thursday through Sundays.

Telluride Resort: 5 New. 8 Storm. 8 New This Week. 54 Inch Base. 101/127 Trails. 18/18 Lifts. Palmyra Peak, Black Iron Bowl, Gold Hill Chutes, Gold Hill Stairs and chute 9 are all open now.
