In case I look and sound familiar to you...  I also am on the air during the afternoons on our sister station Big I 107.9!  I can't get enough of country music and between these 2 stations I get to hear it ALL!  Everything I grew up with and all the latest country songs out now.
Life is GOOD!  :)

ABOUT ME:
My sister and I were born in Arkadelphia, AR. .... Yep... there's really a place named that!  I'm an Air Force Brat, so we moved alot growing up… living everywhere from Air Force Bases to Indian Reservations.  I landed in Albuquerque with my family about 17 years ago and know why they call it the "Land of Entrapment" now...  I'd never want to live anywhere else!  My husband goes by "Rainman", and is also a local radio DJ in Albuquerque.  You might also recognize me with my twin sister Steph...  we went to West Mesa High waaayyy back!  I have a brother who lives in DC and is about to get MARRIED!  Mom is a High School Teacher in town and my Dad works on K.A.F.B..  Plus, I have cats...Tommy and Poo, who think they run my house...  BUT...  our bird Larry, whom we found in the backyard 3 years ago is REALLY in charge!  He's a 4 inch tall Starling who rings his bell and tell us all what we should be doing...  or what we should be getting him rather!  LOL!

This commercial was shot at the Liverpool Street Subway Station in London
January 15, 2009. Only the dancers knew what was happening; the general
public didn't have a clue what was about to unfold. But look how they all
joined in the fun.
Fireworks Ban
Friday 06-26-2009 11:54am MT

BERNALILLO COUNTY COMMISSION APPROVES PARTIAL FIREWORKS BAN

The Bernalillo County Commission has approved a ban on some fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the County. The ban applies to the sale and use of missile-type rockets, helicopters, aerial spinners, stick-type rockets and ground audible devices.

“What we look for is anything that shoots sparks and pieces outside a six feet circle and/or higher than 10 feet in the air, and products that may pose a hazard by falling or tipping over during operation,” says County Commission Chair Alan Armijo.

The severe drought conditions and the potential risk to life, property and the environment prompted the ban. Some of the fireworks ban covers the areas east of Louisiana Blvd. to the west face of the Sandia Mountains, from San Antonio north to the Sandia Indian Reservation, all the East Mountain area and areas within 1000 feet of the Rio Grande Bosque and wildland areas.

Permissible fireworks may be used in all other areas of the County on barren or paved areas. Permissible fireworks are cones, fountains and hand-held sparklers. Aerial and ground audible devices are not permissible anywhere within Bernalillo County.

The ban is now in effect on prohibited fireworks and will remain in force until

July 6, 2009.

If an individual is caught with prohibited fireworks, a citation will be issued and they will have to appear in court. They could be fined up to $1000 and sentenced to less than one year in jail. If it is determined that an individual’s use of fireworks was the cause of a fire that damaged property, they may be held liable for those damages.
